I have always loved Christmas.
The twinkle of the lights, the smell of freshly cut trees, the sound of Bing Crosby singing "White Christmas" and family gathered together. Celebrating the birthday of Jesus, this is Christmas! It's been a lifelong dream to record a Christmas project. It was on Christmas Eve 33 years ago, we sat at the funeral of our little baby boy. He was born with heart disease and survived only a few short weeks after having open heart surgery. Out of the darkness of that time, God reminded me that year and still today, the "true meaning" of Christmas and what is really important in life. Jesus came to shine a light in the darkness. He swept across my heart that night with a renewed hope, peace and sense of purpose in the midst of pain. God put a song in my heart and the desire to reach others with the same hope I was given that Christmas Eve so long ago.
This collection of songs are my favorites that I have longed loved and sung to audiences through the years. Many are classics that we have all grown to love; some may be new to you. They represent memories that are close to my heart. I added "Over the Rainbow" as a reminder that dreams really do come true!
